Paul BRADLEY - Ger FITZGERALD - Yvon RIOU:

Irish Music & Songs

Ger FITZGERALD: Vocals

Ger Fitzgerald is one of the exciting new voices emerging from the world of Traditional song in Ireland. A singer since childhood, Ger competed successfully at national competition level and was eventually invited to be a judge at the same competitions in later years.
Her singing, both in Irish and in English, posesses trueness of tone, individual style and strength of expression that one expects from a singer of experience, yet her singing harbours newness, is fresh and exciting.
Amongst her many singing engagements, Ger has recently performed at Feis na nGael, a celebration of Scottish and Irish singing, she has performed at the Pan Celtic Festival in Carlow in 2012 and 2013. In the last year,  she has been invited to sing at singing clubs 'an Goilín' and the Clé Club (Dublin).
Ger is also at ease performing the works of singer-song-writing giants Dylan, Cohen and Waits with her band,"Sron & Orchard Road" in which she also plays piano.

With his band 'Dorsa' Paul toured USA and Europe on numerous occasions and he has been featured on TV and radio broadcasts in Ireland and abroad. Paul performed his poetry at Celtic Connections as a central part of the 'Singing Tree' (2007) for which he was commissioned to write. Recently Paul was featured in the book 'Tribes' (2012), a photographic tribute to the musicians and artists of Galway.

The album will feature guest musicians some of whom will be already very well known to you and some of whom are fresh talents in the world of Traditonal Irish music.

Of his last solo album 'Atlantic Roar', a five-star review in The Irish Times said :
"Changes of key and of style show off not only his talent and utter ease with the instrument but also his complete understanding of the music he plays"...

Yvon RIOU: Guitare
