Mc KENZIE Acoustique: Country Folk Blues
Kenny PLENDERLEITH: Guitar & Vocals Zoe CARYL: Guitar & Vocals McKenZie Acoustique are Kenny Plenderleith and Zoe Caryl, award winning duo from the UK. Zoe has been no stranger to the theatre in London, taking lead roles in the musicals Annie and Starlight Express, while Kenny has led the Orchestra on the QE2, and the Sporting Club in Monaco. Together they have released three original albums of country music; Walking on Steel (2007), 2 for The Road (2009, nominated for best UK country album) and And then We Wrote (2012), and have performed at some of the UK country scene’s top festivals and events, receiving awards, nominations and supporting many visiting American artistes. The legendary George Hamilton IV performed guest vocals on their second album. Kenny is a master guitarist of many styles and Zoe’s voice has received high praise from country music critics. They now take the opportunity to perform music from many more genre’s including blues, Americana & folk, and include songs from artistes such as Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Sting, John Prine and many more, along with their original material. Using just two acoustic guitars, this is a fresh and original performance which they hope you will enjoy.
After three very successful concerts in the Charente in
February they are delighted to be appearing at the Toucouleur on July 8. The
